NIH reporting Vitamin C Might Help Fight Cancer, Someday..

Cancerous mice injected with Vitamin C saw a 43 to 51 percent reduction in tumor size, according to a recent study published by doctors from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Although the findings are preliminary, and still need to be tested in humans, the results indicate that Vitamin C may one day be included in the treatment protocol for some cancers.
While high doses of intravenous Vitamin C may not be a pragmatic treatment for cancer just yet, there are still plenty of good reasons to drink orange juice every day. Here are five:
Beautiful Skin Vitamin C is necessary to form collagen, a key protein used to make skin and keep it healthy.
Healing Power Vitamin C is responsible for the growth and repair of tissue in all parts of your body.
Cheap Antioxidants (Forget Overpaying for Pom!) Vitamin C is a natural antioxidant, and blocks damage caused by free radicals
Cold Fighting Power (Maybe) Although popular culture tells us that Vitamin C helps prevent and treat colds, modern medicine disagrees. Still, if youre sick, a little OJ certainly wont hurt.
Your Body Doesnt Store It Because Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, it is not stored in the body and must be replenished daily
<>With all of these benefits, and the promise that it may one day help in the fight against cancer, we should all raise a glass of OJ in salute to Vitamin C.
